CA Identity Manager CA Identity Governance CA Identity Portal CA Identity Suite

Issue/Introduction

Scenario:

A form has been configured to display an employee's manager details using %manager% (See example below).

When a user logs into the CA Identity Portal (IP) and Views or Modifies a User they may be presented with the incorrect manager for details of the user being inspected or updated.  If the Portal page is refreshed in the browser the correct manager is displayed.

Environment

Release : 14.3

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Cause

When the %Manager% attribute is used in a form and the manager attribute exists in the search, multiple entries are returned to the %Manager% variable and the manager name displayed is the first in the Array and not the correct managers' name.

Resolution

This issue is encountered when the "User Select" display type is set and the "manager" field is selected in the associated search.  If you deselect the "manager" attribute in the search and it should work as expected.
