Issue/Introduction

While trying to troubleshoot an existing model definition, the following variable was encountered: '%*DB2LIB1'. It's used in a STEPLIB DD definition and resolves to a dataset name. Where is it set? It's not in any of the documentation, but appears to be a system-level global. Can you please explain?

Resolution

PTLDRIVM reads the CDBAPARM(SETUPXX) to establish contact with the subsystem(SSID) based on the definition of that subsystem.
PDA extract invokes PTLDRIVM to establish that connection with the SSID.
