Sign and Encrypt buttons missing in Outlook on macOS

Issue/Introduction

Microsoft Outlook for Mac does not include the Desktop Email Encryption Sign and Encrypt buttons.

Environment

Symantec Desktop Email Encryption for macOS 10.4.2 and above.

Resolution

The Desktop Email Encryption Sign and Encrypt buttons are only available with Microsoft Outlook for Windows.

By default, to sign and encrypt a message, please do one of the following:

1. Include [pgp] anywhere in the Subject.
2. Set the message sensitivity level as Confidential.
3. Set the message sensitivity level as Private.

To only sign a message, you will need to add a new mail rule.
