Custom Portlet Export To Excel Error 500 For Parameterized Lookup Field

Issue/Introduction

When Export to Excel from a custom object portlet.
When the field is added as a column, the export fails.

The field is a parameterized lookup.

 

Resolution

The export will take time to finish as it is due to the design and performance associated with the dynamic NSQL query.
It will take time to finish.

Workaround is to remove the field associated with parameterized lookup from the list view and then retry the export.
