Phoenix UI locks up the browser on Safari 14.x

Issue/Introduction

In Safari 14, whenever user collapses or expands sections, PPM becomes unresponsive and freezes. CPU utilization also goes high for the user.

Environment

Release : 15.8.1, 15.9

Component : CA PPM APPLICATION

Desktop: MacOS 11.0.1

Safari 14.0.1

Cause

STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 
1- In Classic, set UI theme to "Phoenix"
2- On a Mac with Safari 14.0.1, login to Clarity
3- Open a Project
4- On the Project Summary page, expand and contract the sections rapidly
5- The browser will completely lock up after a few seconds
The user needs to shut down or task kill the browser

 

Expected Results: Able to expand and shrink sections in Phoenix UI

Actual Results:  Unable to repeatedly expand and shrink sections in the Phoenix UI

Workaround: 
Use Chrome or Firefox
