Issue/Introduction

Following the update to Messaging Gateway (SMG) 10.7, SMG is treating password protected PDF attachments as encrypted and returning an unscannable verdict rather than allowing policies for password protected documents to take action on the message.

Resolution

This issue has been addressed with the Messaging Gateway 10.7.4 release. Password protected PDF files are now correctly identified as "Password protected" rather than "Encrypted".
