Issue/Introduction

You would like to configure the Messaging Gateway to obtain malware definitions via TLS (HTTPS) for security reasons.

Environment

Messaging Gateway Scanners running version 10.7.4 or later.

Resolution

1. Log in to the Control Center web interface.
2. Navigate to Malware > Settings > Email Scan Settings.
3. Under Download certified virus definitions from the Symantec website, check the box labeled Use HTTPS.
