Issue/Introduction

Trying to use OPSMVS R14.0 MTC-A feature, it says to add OPEDCM0 events to ENFPARM member.

During start up of ENF the following messages are produced:

CAS9348E - DCM index field improperly specified for event OPSMVS01/OPEDCM0
CAS9336E - A problem occurred processing event "OPSMVS01".
CAS9329E - Recording is disabled for active event "OPSMVS01".
CAS9214I - CA-ENF Command: RECORD(NO)  683
CAS9240I - RECORD   - Command complete

ENFPARM member updated to include the following:

DCM(OPEDCM0)         * OPS MTCA ENF EVENTS

Environment

Release : 15.0
Component : CCS390 - CA COMMON SERVICES FOR Z/OS

Cause

There was a problem when the DCM was originally built.

Despite the errors that are presented, the overall functionality is unaffected.

The writing of the OPSMVS01 event does get accepted, and sent to any listeners.

The was no intention for this event to be recorded. 

Resolution

New OPS PTF SOxxxxx written to replace the DCM.

 

NOTE: The PTF is not yet available. Contact OPS support for status if interested.

Implementation Notes:

  1. Apply the PTF
  2. Make new DCM module accessible to ENF
  3. Restart ENF
