etatuitl permission denied error on vApp

Issue/Introduction

On the CA Identity Manager vApp Suite, attempting to execute the command-line utility "etatuitl" returns a "permission denied" error.

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

Ensure that you are logged in as the correct user.

There is a user : imps on the vApp. Logon with the config user and then execute the command:

su - imps



You will able to access /opt/CA/IdentityManager/ProvisioningServer/bin and execute etautil without the permission denied error.
