Issue/Introduction

Acer and Dell displays show truncated serial numbers in Asset Management.

For example (this is not a real serial number):

Serial number shown in DSM: ABCDE12345H1
Complete serial number: XXABCDE12345678FG90H1

Environment

This issue has been reported in Client Automation 14.0 SP2.

Cause

Acer/Dell have longer serial numbers that do not fit the EDID serial number field.

Resolution

This issue has been reported as DE58926.

Please contact Broadcom Support to request the fix T55V213.

This fix should be installed on computers with the affected displays.
