How is the &HRDWNAME symbol obtained?

Issue/Introduction

Recently replaced z13 machine with a z15 machine.  Now notice that the &HRDWNAME symbol has a new value. 

Based on CA Common Services for z/OS documentation, it looks like that value is somehow being pulled from our IODF.

How exactly is this value being obtained?

Resolution

The &HRDWNAME symbol is being pulled from the IODF.

At system IPL, the CAMASTER address space extracts the hardware name from the system ECVT(ECVTHDNM).
