Rally: Cannot assign Feature a Parent Initiative Due to Error

Issue/Introduction

When trying to assign a feature to an initiative, the following error is seen:

Validation error: Initiative.BlockedReasonBlocked must be set to true in order to set a Blocked Reason

When viewing the feature or the initiative, no blocker is set and no blocked reason is visible.

Release : All

Component : AGILE CENTRAL

Cause

This can be caused if a blocked reason has been set without the blocked flag being enabled

Resolution

1. Visit the details page for the initiative
2. Click Blocked
3. A reason should be visible in the Reason field
4. Clear the Reason field value out
5. Click Blocked again to unblock the initiative
6. Save the initiative
