Issue/Introduction

Does the GSS function: Security('LOGON',UserID,Pwd,NewPwd) support passphrase for Pwd and NewPwd fields?

 

Environment

SYSVIEW 15.0 & 16.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

 

Resolution

The GSS Security function doesn't support passphrase, it supports only 8 byte passwords.
