Issue/Introduction

As part of normal operations, Messaging Gateway (SMG) uploads anonymized rule usage data to the Symantec/Broadcom operations center as part of the rule update process. This telemetry contains no customer specific or identifiable information and is used as part of a feedback look in anti-spam rule tuning.

Previously, SMG could be opted out of participation in telemetry using the `set-telemetry` CLI command.

 

Resolution

With SMG 10.7.4, the set-telemetry CLI command will no longer affect telemetry participation and all SMG installations will participate in the anti-spam telemetry feedback loop.
