Issue/Introduction

Customer wants alert repeat count for alerts from SNMP connector.

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager

Resolution

The problem is with the SNMP connector, the tool use to send the SNMP trap does not have the capability to send the alert count value, so there's no way to provide the alert count for alerts from the SNMP connector.

SOI DO NOT keep track of the alert count, it only put the value in the User Attribute field from the info sent to the connector.

There's nothing SOI can do if the connector don't pass the value for that field.
