Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported

Issue/Introduction

 

We're running the Policy Server installer

  # ./ca-ps-12.8-sp02-linux-x86-64.bin -i console

the program cannot start and it reports error :

  Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported
  Unable to load and to prepare the installer in console or silent mode.

How can we fix this ?

 

Resolution

 

- Ensure that before running the command 

  ./ca-ps-12.8-sp02-linux-x86-64.bin -i console

  env command reports no DISPLAY variable set;

- Ensure that fonts are installed :

    # yum install fontconfig
    # yum install dejavu-sans-fonts
