Issue/Introduction

When deleting an account template, the following error is returned:

Error Message: Active Directory Account Template 'ADTest' deletion failed: Account template is currently assigned to one or more accounts,"

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

The error means that you cannot delete the template because it is associated with other users in the system. Utilize Provisioning Manager to find the associated account


Once you identify the users, you can decide whether you are OK to remove the template / role from the user, before proceeding with template deletion
