Issue/Introduction

Unable to install Vertica on new Data Repository server in DX Netops Performance Management 

We see the error highlighted below:

Failed on hosts (1): <IP>
    Provided DB Admin account details: user = dradmin, group = verticadba, home = /path/to/homedir
    Creating group... Group already exists
    Validating group... Okay
    Creating user... User already exists
    Validating user...
    Fail : User's home directory does not exist: '/path/to/homedir'
    Hint : Did user creation cause any errors?

Unable to create or verify DB Admin user/group on some hosts.

Installation FAILED with errors.

Cause

Data Repository admin user was created before install and the users home directory does not exist

Resolution

Create the users home directory per the URL in the error message:
