Issue/Introduction

What does Staging a software package do? If we staged Agent package onto a scalability server does that mean any agents connected to that scalability server will be updated? Or does staging a software package onto the scalability server just mean that the server can now deploy that software.

Environment

Release : All

Component : DESKTOP AND SERVER MANAGEMENT

Resolution

Staging a package means storing it locally on the Scalability Server's Library. When a package is deployed to an agent it is downloaded/extracted from it's local Scalability Server's Library and if software package is not registered/staged with the scalability server library, the domain manager library remains as the source for the transfers.
