Problem with decrypting DB access password

Issue/Introduction

When installing the peoplesoft agent I could not clear the following error in peoplesoft log:

11/23/2020 17:14:41.665-0500 1 main.MainThread.PsConfigProcessor$PsConfigProcessorSingleton.[:180] - cybermation.plugins.ps.PsConfigException: Problem with decrypting DB access password

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA Workload Automation System Agent

Cause

PeopleSoft database password causing PeopleSoft initialization failure.

Resolution

Update the default PeopleSoft access password in agent's agentparm.txt file;

ps.db.accessPassword

Sets the encrypted password that the agent plug-in uses to connect to the PeopleSoft database.
Example: 7379736XXXX

Note: Use the Agent's password utility to encrypt the password.
