What methods of authentication are available to Rally on-prem?

Versions 2018.1 and lower

Versions 2018.1 and lower allowed for the following

• Rally authentication
• Oracle Directory Service LDAP
• Microsoft Active Directory LDAP

 

Versions 2.0 and higher

Versions 2.0 and higher allow for the following:

• Rally authentication
• Microsoft Active Directory LDAP

While 2.0 and 2.01 list Oracle Directory Service (ODS) as being an option, it is unlikely that this directory service platform will truly work as these could not be tested prior to those versions being released.  ODS cannot not be guaranteed to work and therefore no support exists for it.  The option to configure ODS is removed entirely in 2.1.
