Issue/Introduction

I've just upgraded maintenance and now I'm receiving 3182 messages. What happens when all run libs have not been upgraded?

Resolution

At execution time Disk checks that the PARMEDIT member in the PARMLIB is at the proper level to coincide with the Loadlib. You will see these messages when there is a mismatch:

ADSDM175 3182 WARNING: SAMS:DISK x.x REQUIRES A x.x FORMATTED PARMLIB
ADSDM175 3182 WARNING: YOU ARE USING A x.x FORMATTED PARMLIB

There are several ways for this to occur.

  1. The JCL contains an override to either a parmlib from an older release of Disk, or to a loadlib from an older release.
  2. Disk is using an outdated proclib.
  3. The parmlib and loadlib in Disk libraries are mismatched. This happens when Disk runs from different libraries than SMP/E target libraires and did not completely copy all of the recently installed changes from the SMP/E target libraries to the production libraries.
