Issue/Introduction

The JOB applying TLMS retentions ran lasted more than 55 minutes instead of the usual 5 minutes.

Resolution

Check if any DASD backups are executing at the same time that TLMSTRANs is running.

Look for the DASD packs that the VMF, VMF Index, and ALOG are on.

TLMSTRANs is posting transactions to the CTS/TLMS address space which is trying to update the files under CTS.
