Checking the IBM Generic Tracker Facility (GTZ) report, it can contain the below error, related to CA DISK program ADSDM083 'not potentially compatible' with EAV :
INSTANCE: 8 COUNT: 2
EVENTDESC: 'SMS-E:1 DCB OPEN EAS 113-44'
OWNER: IBMCNZ SOURCE: CNZTRKR
EVENTDATA: x0000000000000000 x0000000000000001
PROGRAM: ADSDM083 PROGRAMOFFSET: x000000000000050A
HOMEJOB: DMSAR HOMEASID: x0267
EVENTJOB: DMSAR EVENTASID: x0267
AUTHORIZED: YES FIRST TIME: 2020-11-11 14:24:53
could this be a 'false' error message?
If this is the case, how is it possible to exclude CA Disk from GTZPRMxx in order to suppress the above entry?
Release : 12.5
Component : CA Disk Backup and Restore
If all the below CA DISK GA PTFs are applied:
RO65878
RO73544
RO95355
RO95747
RO96147
RO96151
RO96187
RO96189
RO99395
SO07221
SO07521
then CA DISK fully supports EAV, so the above exception should be considered as a 'false' error and it can be ignored.
That said, if it is necessary to remove this error from the IBM Tracker, based on the IBM documentation at the link below:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLTBW_2.4.0/com.ibm.zos.v2r4.ieae200/gtzprmxx.htm
the following definition should be coded in member GTZPRMxx :
/* CA Disk (non-VSAM) */
EXCLUDE(
EVENTDESC='SMS-E:1 DCB OPEN EAS 113-44'
PROGRAMTYPE=NOPATH PROGRAM=ADSDM083
)
