Issue/Introduction

Can the Administrator account be deleted or disabled for the legacy Java console of Symantec Protection Engine (SPE)?

Environment

• SPE version 7.9.x or 8.x

Resolution

• Removing or disabling the Administrator account for the Java legacy UI console of SPE is not a feature of the product.
• Additional accounts may be added, but Administrator itself cannot be removed. 
• Other options include disabling the legacy console or enrolling the SPE in the centralized web console.
