Issue/Introduction

We have a device that has been added from spectrum and nfa into CAPC.

But instead of seeing one device, we are seeing 2 devices with the same name but in different IP Domains in CAPC.

Environment

CAPM 20.x

CAPM 3.7.x

NFA 10.0.4

Cause

CAPC will not reconcile devices across domains as domains are considered different environments.

Logs from CAPC do not show any errors or problems with these devices.

..

If you assign a harvester to a CAPC domain. (say default)

Then you add stuff (like interfaces) to the harvester, those things get assigned to the CAPC default domain.

If you then change the assignment of the harvester to a different CAPC domain (say domestic)

The interfaces that were already in the harvester will NOT get switched to the new domain until they are removed from the harvester and added back in.

..

..

..

Resolution

Delete the interfaces from the harvester.

In CAPC console, administration -> data sources do a Full synch of NFA ds in CAPC

Add the interfaces back to the harvester and verify that they are now in the correct domain

Wait until they show 'last flow', meaning they are licensed and collecting in NFA, only licensed interfaces are synched to CAPC.

In CAPC console, administration -> data sources do a Full synch of NFA ds in CAPC
