CA Harvest SCM Workbench does not retain the selected sorting order of Packages

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

After the user has selected the way the package list is to be sorted, if they switch to another tab such as the Versions tab and then switch back, the selected sort order was not retained.

Steps to show the problem:

• Sort the Packages of a state by Creator,
• Then click in a Package Version and sort this by creator too.
• If switch back now to the Package sort, it has not remained.

This behavior was not documented in the previous versions. 

 

Environment:  

CA SCM R12.1 SP3 

 

Resolution:

In the new CA SCM R12.1 SP3 version, there were included some options for preferences. You can now select an option to preserve the sorting order. This can be done under the preferences of your Workbench application, by default the checkbox will not be ON.

It needs to be selected. The below screen shot illustrates where to select this option: Restore List view column order
