Issue/Introduction

I am not able to launch the Spectrum webApp. I keep getting this error:

Request processing failed. Please refer the tomcat log for more details.

..Not able to reach OneClick Webapp. Process might be stopped. Please start the Spectrum WebTomcat Process and re-launch

Reviewing the webtomcat log file reveals permission errors

Resolution

First make sure the packages are installed:

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/spectrum/10-4-2/managing-client-applications/oneclick-webapp-beta.html#concept.dita_cb52f04ad97c49b52eeb67a36a82d29869d3a316_StepstorunOneClickWebApponLinux

Then confirm that root does not own any directories or files within the webtomcat area, especially the webswing directory.

If root does own, chown back to Spectrum install owner and restart the webtomcat service.
