Issue/Introduction

Please help to confirm the Dollar universe management server local admin account password change is recommendable.

This ID is used to authenticate when the Agent is registered to the UVMS ( Management Server).

Would this password change impact the existing connected Agents ( Dollar Universe Application Servers) or Reporter Server?

Release : 6.x

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Resolution

The password of the UVMS internal admin user can be changed if needed, as it is not kept by agent.

Please find  below the usage of UVC username/password on the Nodes:

• The username/password of UVC user is necessary to register/unregister the Nodes
• Once the Node is registered this username/password is not used anymore

In case you are using Reporter Server and it is using the same admin account, please remember to modify the password accordingly in  Reporter Node Settings - Parameters as below:

 

The command to change the password for admin user is:

uniadd login -login admin -pwd XXXXX -admin -override
