Performance Management reports fail post Data Repository rebuild

Original Data Repository DB was impacted by a disk failure. The database was lost and there were no backups available for restoration.

Reinstalled Vertica on a new server to rebuild the Data Repository server. Then reinstalled the Data Aggregator.

During this process the Data Aggregator Data Source in Performance Center was set to Disabled.

After being Enabled again post re-install there was an error about DS_PRODUCT_ID_CHANGED in the PC logs. Per Knowledge Base article Post reinstall of Data Aggregator sync fails in Performance Management that issue was resolved.

With the Data Aggregator successfully synced with Performance Center, we still see all reports showing red bar query failures from the Data Aggregator.


All supported Performance Management releases


Performance Center still retains the inventory tied to the old Data Aggregator. These are old Item_ID values and Group memberships tied to old items and their old Item_IDs that were lost with the DR DB rebuild.


Delete the Data Aggregator Data Source from the Performance Center web UI. When it completes, add the Data Aggregator again as if new.
