End of support of CA Sysview 15.0 and z/OS 2.5 Compatibility Plans

Issue/Introduction

When is the end of support date for CA Sysview 15.0?   Also, is there any version compatible with z/OS 2.5?

Resolution

IBM’s z/OS 2.5 is expected to go GA in Fall of 2021.   CA SYSVIEW strives to offer day 1 support at that time on supported SYSVIEW releases as of that date.   The z/OS compatibility page should be consulted to see if any additional maintenance/PTFs are required:      https://ftpdocs.broadcom.com/WebInterface/phpdocs/0/MSPSaccount/COMPAT/zos_compat.HTML   

 

End of Support (EOS) will most likely not be announced for CA SYSVIEW 15.0 until the next release of CA SYSVIEW becomes available.  Broadcom encourages updating soonest to release 16.0 due to the “incredible amount of features and value added.”    Once EOS is announced CA SYSVIEW customers are generally provided with 12, and sometimes 18, months to upgrade before the actual EOS date.
