On-Premise Java Agent running in Openshift support for OpenJDK 11

Issue/Introduction

We recently migrated from OpenJDK8 to OpenJDK11 recently, since then Openshift pods stopped reporting to CA APM.

While checking with Openshift team internally, they sais that when they tried to package and use the CA APM Java agent with OpenJDK11, it is throwing errors and not working.

Application team is facing some issues on their Openshift pods and wants to get this resolved as soon as possible. Could you please help me with information on CA APM java agent support with OpenJDK11.

 

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : APM Agents

Resolution

OpenJDK 11 will not work/not supported with APM 10.7. It is supported with 20.9 . See the SAAS Compatibility Guide for details 

Additional Information

Nothing special was needed to get the APM 20.9 Java Agent to work with OpenJDK11.
