Issue/Introduction

An application program is abending with an unexpected ERROR-STATUS of 0174.

Environment

Release : Any supported release.
Component : CA IDMS

Cause

Any ERROR-STATUS with a minor code of 74 indicates a problem with a dynamic load of a load module.

With a major-code of 01, the most likely cause is that the problematic load module is a database procedure.

Resolution

If the application is a local mode batch program, make sure the database procedure is available in STEPLIB.

In CV-mode, make sure it is in CDMSLIB, or the problem could also be that the program is not defined to SYSGEN.
