DX Unified Infrastructure Management (Nimsoft / UIM)

Issue/Introduction

I recently made a copy of the AIX Base Super Pack and renamed the copy HPUX Base SuperPack. Then I deployed the HPUX Base SuperPack to a couple of HPUX servers. When I go into the CDM GUI nothing is selected.  Why is nothing selected?

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - CDM WITH IOSTAT

Cause

- probe package configuration

Resolution

Navigate to:

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/unified-infrastructure-management/20-1/administering/working-with-infrastructure-manager/general-probe-management-in-infrastructure-manager.html#concept.dita_597e477b0edc8df59b21f7feb11c3ac59c106ee6_DistributingMultipleProbesandConfigurationFilesasaSuperPackage

and search for HPUX_11.

Basic sections...

Right-click on the Super Package/package in the archive and select
Edit
.
Right-click the OStype tab and select Add section
.
Name the section based on the operating system of the target systems. The following operating systems are supported:

AIX_5
AIX_5_64
HPUX_11
HPUX_11_64
HPUX_11_ia64
LINUX_23

SOLARIS_10_i386
SOLARIS_8_sparc
SOLARIS_8_sparcv9
TRU64

Select the operating system from the OStype drop-down menu.

Under files you'd have your cdm.cfx.
