Datacom: Clarification on message "RANDOM FOR OLREORG" (DSOP 4)

Issue/Introduction

We are receiving message "RANDOM FOR OLREROG" in the DEFRAG report. We want clarification for this message. Does this mean I have to run a OLREORG?

Resolution

This message "RANDOM FOR OLREORG" is just the label that is associated with a DSOP value of 4. This does not mean you have to run a OLREORG, but you have the ability to do so in the future.

This table shows the message you will see based on the DSOP #

Notes:

• The current documentation (as of November 10, 2020) does not mention the labels associated to each DSOP #. This will be updated in either the Data Area Space Management Options (DSOP) or the Directory (CXX) Report documentation.
• These labels/messages can be seen when running a CXX Report or a DEFRAG Report
• In order to run a OLREORG, a DSOP value must be a 4 (recommended default) or 5
