Unable to start Performance Center services in Performance Management

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Performance Management Performance Center services will not start.

Performance Center Services fail to start.

Performance Center caperfcenter_sso SSO service fails to start.

Performance Center caperfcenter_eventmanager Event Manager service fails to start.

Performance Center caperfcenter_devicemanager Device Manager service fails to start.

There are no messages being written to the normal SSOService.log file.

There are no messages being written to the normal EMService.log file.

There are no messages being written to the normal DMService.log file.

All the services are in failed state and we are not able to start them.

Without the services the caperfcenter_console PC service relies upon running (Device Manager), it fails to start as well.

This is the error we see in the wrapper.<Date>.log file for the SSO, Event Manager and Device Manager services during start failure.

Cause

AppDynamics Java Agent

Resolution

There is no support for the use of 3rd party tools like the AppDynamics Java Agent installed on a Performance Center system.

There is no support for the use of 3rd party tools like the AppDynamics Java Agent interacting with a Performance Center system and it's services.

To resolve the issue disable the AppDynamics Java Agent and start the Performance Center services.
