Issue/Introduction

You need to know the Detector ID for your purchased Cloud Detection Service.

The Detector ID is a UUID which identifies your Cloud Detector for Data Loss Prevention.

This ID is available from a number of different sources, all of which are unique to each Cloud Detector for each customer of the service.

  1. Once provisioned, the Detector ID is listed in the Cloud Management Portal.
  2. It is shared in the Welcome Email customers receive, which includes the Enrollment Bundle (the Detector-ID is within the files comprising the Enrollment Bundle).
  3. It is listed on the Detector details view, from the Servers Overview, in the Enforce Management Console.
  4. For customers whose Cloud Detector is integrated with Symantec or other 3rd party products, it forms part of these configurations:
    1. It is in the CloudSOC console, listed as part of the "Enforce Managed DLP" configuration.
    2. It is in the Web Security Services UI, as part of the DLP Cloud integration.
    3. It would also be part of the SmartHost configuration, for customers of the Cloud Email Service whose MTAs send messages to DLP.
