Issue/Introduction

The UNAUTHORIZED message indicates that either the user does not have authority to perform the command or the
default location being used is not the one where the user has authority to perform the command.

Environment

Release : 11.0

Component : JOBTRAC

Resolution

The UNAUTHORIZED message indicates that either the user does not have authority to perform the command or the default location being used is not the one where the user has authority to perform the command.  If a user does not have authority to issue the command you will need to update TRACAUTH by running the ASMAUTH job to grant the appropriate authority.  If  AUTH shows that the user is set up to issue the command, it is possible that the default location in use is different from the one defined in TRACAUTH that grants a user the authority to issue the command.  In this case, the default location should be changed to match the location ID in TRACAUTH where the user does have authority to perform the command.  The  default location can be changed by issuing the command PROF to update the location or by using the HOMELOC command.
