How do I take a DRAS task console dump?

Issue/Introduction

You probably have a direct LPAR Dump command (not w/cancel) you can use, but these stock console dump instructions will do the trick:

 

 

Environment

Mainframe Console

z/OS

Resolution

(SDSF) JES log command:
 
/DUMP COMM=(<text>)
 
   - where text is the Dump Title and description from 1 to 100 characters
 
JES will then ask for a reply like:
 
* id IEE094D SPECIFY OPERAND(S) FOR DUMP COMMAND
 
   - where the id is the reply number
 
For the Reply specify the following:
 
/id asid=(005B),sdata=(csa,psa,lpa,sqa,lsqa,rgn,trt,grsq,sum,swa),end

   - where the hex asid number from the da screen for the task is used
