Disabling Group Search with RA LDAP Integration

Issue/Introduction

We don't use group feature of LDAP, but with default configuration of Release Automation Directory Servers the group search is made, which make login process slower. How can we disable group search filter.

Environment

Release : 6.6, 6.7 or higher

Component : CA RELEASE AUTOMATION RELEASE OPERATIONS CENTER

Resolution

By default the group search filter in Release Automation Directory server configuration with LDAP is set to below

Group Search Filter: (|(member={0})(uniquemember={0}))

 

In case if there is LDAP groups are not in use, still when a user logs in the group will be searched in LDAP based on above "group search filter", which may be time consuming depending upon the depth of LDAP. This is the cause of delay login.

 

To disable the group search you can use below in "Group search filter"

 

Group Search Filter: (true=false)
