How to prevent emails from being sent by Spectrum AlarmNotifier for specific event for only specific devices

Issue/Introduction

We have a handful of devices that we would like Email Notifications for everything but Management Agent Lost (0x10701)

Environment

Release : 10.4.1

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Resolution

You cannot have filters with conflicting logic to achieve the desired results.

In this example the first filter is defined is for is All Alarms and the second is to exclude the devices:

 

1. Remove the include of 0x10701 from the main filter as that logic is being handled by the new filter.

2. Create an Include filter for 0x10701 which will send this email notification for all devices except those which are defined within the exclusion list (model name tab).
