After preparing a Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client for cloning, Install type and deployment details are missing from client properties in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).
Release : 14.3
Component :
After following the instructions in the Prepare Endpoint Protection clients for cloning, the hardware ID is purged which will make the client unique when checking in with the SEPM. The deployment details and install type are part of the SEP client's opstate data which is only sent to the SEPM every 24 hours; therefore, the opstate data will be missing for the first several heartbeats from the client to SEPM.
Once the client uploads its opstate data to the SEPM, the data will populate in the client properties shown on the SEPM.
The client's opstate data can be reviewed on the client in the following registry location:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\CurrentVersion\Public-Opstate
