When it comes to enabling the Java Agent to collect JMX metrics from a Java application server the following statement holds true.

The WebAppSupport.jar needs to be located in the ext directory.

In some previous releases there was a situation where the WebAppSupport.jar was located in the root folder of the agent install. In these situations, the WebAppSupport.jar file should be copied into the ext directory.

Secondly, upgrades and customizations could play a role in the location of WebAppSupport.jar.

JMX metric collection requires proper configuration. Refer to the appropriate installation instructions to get JMX metric collection configured properly.
