Issue/Introduction

When submitting an access request via CA Identity Manager the following error is displayed.

Error:

Modify user "": Unable to communicate with the JMS queue 'queue/wpUtilQueue' to perform a database license check. Please check your configuration for that queue. Exception was type javax.jms.JMSException; Error Message: Failed to create session factory

 

Environment

Release : 14.1

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Resolution

The errors indicate that the WP (WorkPoint) database is not reachable. There is likely something else occurring that is preventing communications with the WP tables. Check for problems earlier in the logs (datasource, connection failure, timeouts), including at deployment and startup.
