Running CA Ideal installation job IDL4RECD doing SMP/E RECEIVE. It is asking for a tape device for the SMPTLIB.

Cause

This can be caused by either of the following:

• an undefined or invalid UNIT specification for the SMPTLIB DDDEF in the GLOBAL zone.
• not specifying a DSPREFIX in the OPTIONS in the GLOBAL zone and letting it default to DSPREFIX(SMPETEMP).

Resolution

Run an SMP/E report with the following input to check the DDDEF and OPTIONS:

 SET BDY(GLOBAL).  
 LIST DDDEF ALLZONES.
 LIST OPTIONS.
