Vantage Storage Resource Manager GRAPHICAL MANAGEMENT INTERFACE

Issue/Introduction

The web client was originally installed on another system.
The appropriate ZFS's from the original system were copied and mounted on the same following mount points:

/cai/vantagegmi/runtime
/cai/vantagegmi/install
/cai/vantagegmi/webclientdb

Message WEB0001E - CA Web Client started with errors - when starting STC VANWEBUI ( CA Vantage Web Client.)
How could the Web Client product be cloned as identical?

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager

Cause

Looking closer at the job log for STC VANWEBUI, you will notice the following:

SY7 (the new system)

JVMJZBL1006I PWD =
JVMJZBL2999W Could not set current directory to:

LPAR2 (the original system) though had this:

JVMJZBL1006I PWD = /u/vanwebui

Looking on SY7 , the OMVS segment had been created for VANWEBUI and the directory /u/vanwebui had not been created yet.

Resolution

You need to create the directory (here /u/vanwebui) , then unmount and mount the filesystems and start VANWEBUI which will come up clean:

WEB0001I - CA Web Client startup complete.

Additional Information

An error, as seen in the documentation for this case:

JVMJZBL2999W Could not set current directory

can be issued when the OMVS segment is not defined correctly for the userid/system from which the Vantage Web UI is run from.  See KB article 40908 (which was written against the CSM product) for this other scenario which could generate this JVMJZBL2999W error:
