Issue/Introduction

We get the following error in wcc when trying to create a job:

CAUAJM_E_00020 Local error in attempt to send request. RC=1.

Environment

Release : 11.4

Component : CA Workload Control Center

Resolution

The following points needed to be verified and validated :

The password was correct in EEM and at OS level.

We verified in "autosys_secure" to make sure to have the "Monitor ID user" entries with both "hostname" and "Fully Qualified Domain Name"

Also verified to make sure the same EEM Server was configured for wcc and for AutoSys.

Then in wcc credentials tried to validate the credential user but it did not validate.

We used "nslookup" by "hostname" and noticed there was a problem on the Name Resolution Not being done successfully.

This problem was related to a DNS Server configuration.

We added the "ip address", "FQDN" and short "hostname" in /etc/hosts file of the servers.

This workaround solution allowed to resolve the encountered issue.

Both the "credential user" and the "AE instance" Configuration are validated successfully.
