Unable to download probes - Forbidden. - Internet Archive Download Error

Issue/Introduction

When downloading probes using Infrastructure Manager, the following error appears.

Environment

• Release: All UIM releases
• Component: UIM - INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER
• IM, any release

Cause

• This issue occurs because the Infrastructure Manager client uses the same Internet Settings as configured in the Windows OS.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, take the following steps:

1. Exit Infrastructure Manager
2. Open Windows Control Panel
3. Open Internet Options
4. Click Security, Trusted Sites, Sites
5. Enter http://*.nimsoft.com and click Add
6. Click Close to close the dialog
7. Click OK
8. Locate the following folder: C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Temp\2\
   In here, there should be a "util" folder - delete it.
9. Launch Infrastructure Manager and now you should be able to download probes.
