Issue/Introduction

The UNIX (AIX) agent does not start.

The only message in nohup.out is:

U2000024 Invalid LogMessage-call name|GLOBAL|

Cause

Configuration.

Resolution

The agent name is longer than 32 characters. Please reduce the length of the agent name. Fully qualified domain names can easily reach more than 32 characters if name= is left blank in the agent ini file.
