Distribution Pending Stuck

Issue/Introduction

While running a Deployment we see the Pre Deployment stage stuck in the state: Distribution Pending. Why?

Environment

Release : 6.6+

Component : CA RELEASE AUTOMATION RELEASE OPERATIONS CENTER

Cause

This can happen for one of two reasons. 

1. No agents are assigned to the Steps in the Deployment stage.
2. An agent assigned to the Deployment stage Steps are unreachable.

Resolution

Remove/replace unreachable agents and run the deployment again.
